"To be a father, will have to pass certain test"

Professor of emerging technologies and director of Creative Futures Institute in Scotland, known as 'the guardian of bioethics' Andy Miah, believes that 2050 will not be as easy being a parent because you will require a special license to be.

"Today, people modify their body much more than in the past. Within ten years, which will change its biology. For example, you select the genes of their future children to remove the genetic information of certain diseases. We will be able to perfect the human species, to influence developments. And the great debate will see how far we are willing to go on this way. For example, fatherhood is something very different. Today, to adopt, you have to pass a series of tests imposed by society. There will come a day when there will be a kind of 'license to be a father'.
